A former science teacher turned travel expert, Lisa spent seven years at sea working for Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, and Renaissance Cruises, and three years backpacking across Asia, immersing herself in diverse cultures and landscapes. After college, she learned to scuba dive in Monterey Bay—a decision that transformed her life and launched a lifelong passion for the underwater world. She went on to work with Club Med, living in Colorado and Eleuthera in the Bahamas, and traveling to dive destinations including Sonora Bay in Mexico and Turks & Caicos, which remains one of her favorite places to dive. From there, she expanded her underwater explorations to Cozumel, Bonaire, and Honduras, tested her skills with dry suit diving in Juneau, Alaska, and later added world-class sites such as Vanuatu (twice), Sipadan, Cuba’s Gardens of the Queen on a liveaboard, Shark School in Mexico, and many more extraordinary locations.
