This special two-day celebration offers an opportunity to reconnect with old friends, meet
inspiring authors, purchase signed books, and take part in the popular Silent Auction,
featuring artwork, restaurant gift cards, experiences, wine, jewelry, holiday décor, and
more.


Proceeds from the Book & Author Event will benefit the Professorship in Engineering
Sciences at Brandeis University, which empowers students to design robotic prosthetic
limbs and adaptive utensils for individuals with tremors. Locally, funds will support an
endowed scholarship for a Tucson student and Emerge! Center Against Domestic Violence.


Each of our authors brings a distinctive perspective and a wealth of experience, ensuring
attendees enjoy thought-provoking discussions and fresh insights into literature and life.
With its range of genres—from compelling fiction to inspiring nonfiction, the 2026 Book &
Author Event promises something for every reader.

AUTHORS:

Dr. Larry Waldman, author
Silver Sex: Insights into Senior Sexuality
Dr. Waldman is a semi-retired licensed clinical forensic psychologist
and a self-described professor, speaker, author, coach, yoga instructor,
and trainer. The author of eight books is a seasoned public speaker and
frequent podcast guest.
What’s it about?

Miriam Gershow, author
Closer
Gershow is also the author of Survival Tips: Stories and The Local
News
. Her flash fiction and creative nonfiction have appeared in
numerous literary journals. Described by The New York Times as
“deftly heartbreaking,” Gershow has received multiple literary
honors and currently teaches fiction writing at the University of
Wisconsin.
